About Nutrition For Change
Enriching Bangladesh Through Nutritional Knowledge
Nutrition For Change (NFC) is a youth-led, nonprofit organization working in Bangladesh to promote nutrition education, public health awareness, healthy dietary practices, and evidence-informed approaches to preventing malnutrition.
We believe that access to accurate nutritional knowledge is an essential foundation for healthier individuals, stronger communities, and a healthier society. Our work focuses on translating nutrition science into practical, accessible, and meaningful information that people can understand and apply in their everyday lives.
Our Mission
Our mission is to enrich Bangladesh through nutritional knowledge by making reliable nutrition information more accessible, strengthening community awareness, encouraging healthier food choices, and supporting initiatives that contribute to the prevention of malnutrition and the promotion of sustainable health.
What We Do
Our work brings together nutrition education, youth leadership, community engagement, research, advocacy, and evidence-based health communication.
Youth Leadership & Grassroots Campaigns
We empower young people to become informed leaders and active contributors to nutrition and public health initiatives at the community level.
Public Health Education & Community Outreach
We organize educational programs, awareness campaigns, and community-based activities designed to improve understanding of nutrition, healthy lifestyles, food choices, and preventive health practices.
Combating Hidden Hunger & Promoting Dietary Diversity
We raise awareness about micronutrient deficiencies and the importance of diverse, balanced diets, with a focus on practical nutrition solutions relevant to local communities.
Evidence-Based Research & Nutrition Support
We promote the use of scientific evidence in nutrition communication, research, educational content, and nutrition-related initiatives. Our work aims to bridge the gap between nutrition science and public understanding.
Our Approach
At Nutrition For Change, we believe meaningful change happens with people, not simply for people. We therefore emphasize collaboration with young people, communities, educational institutions, healthcare professionals, organizations, and other stakeholders.
Our approach is built on four principles:
- Evidence: We value credible scientific information and responsible health communication.
- Accessibility: Nutrition knowledge should be understandable and useful to people from diverse backgrounds.
- Community: Sustainable health improvements require meaningful community participation and collaboration.
- Youth Leadership: Young people can play a powerful role in creating healthier communities and advancing public health.
Our Vision
We envision a Bangladesh where people have access to accurate, understandable, and evidence-informed nutrition information, where healthy dietary practices are encouraged, and where communities are empowered to make informed decisions about food, nutrition, and well-being.
Our Commitment
Nutrition For Change is committed to building a culture of nutrition literacy, healthy living, community participation, and evidence-informed action.
Through education, research, advocacy, coimmunity initiatives, and collaboration, we aim to contribute to a healthier and more nutrition-aware Bangladesh
